Sr Product Manager
Description
The Senior Product Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Product Management for the Control and Lighting Business Unit, serving as a category product expert. The position will be responsible for building and maintaining the product strategy while achieving top lines sales. Acting as a Brand Champion the Senior Product Manager must demonstrate an understanding of market positioning both from a financial and product standpoint. The Senior Product Manager must have solid business acumen with experience in presenting to senior leadership. The Senior Product Manager should be experienced in leading and developing cross-functional team members.
Specific Responsibilities
- Accountable for delivering top line sales and gross margin
- Developing growth strategy within specific channels
- Accountable for various methods of increasing unique buying customers
- Identify and unite new opportunities for strategic relationships to drive category growth
- Act as the subject matter expert/Brand Champion within the category
- Develop category road maps to best fit customers’ needs
- Constantly meeting with customers to gather insights
- Drive semi-annual strategic planning sessions to establish goals and objectives
- In-depth knowledge of competitive dynamics, and develop understanding of how to create differentiation and win in the marketplace
- Drive corporate initiatives to increase profitability of the category
- Lead cross-functional teams with humility
Required Qualifications
- 5+ Years’ experience in smart device product category or brand management
- 3+ Years Product Management experience
- Proven track record of launching a new initiative, service, or product
- Gifted at building internal and external relationships
- Adept at pioneering new initiatives that require a new customer journey
- Ability to think strategically and make decisions based on thorough research and analysis
- Experience developing and executing marketing programing
- Experience reducing cost and inventories
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Business Degree
- Engineering Degree
- Experience within control, lighting, or shades product lines
- Previous category or brand management
- PowerBi Experience
